jessica dahl, board president
Jessica has worked on Lopez Island as a landscape designer for 15 years and has a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has worked on projects with local, state, and national grant funding in both a professional and board member capacity with the Lopez Community Land Trust, Housing Lopez, and currently the Lopez Food Center. A large part of her professional work is project management of large scale landscape construction, typically working in collaboration with a team of clients, architects, general contractors, landscape contractors and other subcontractors. She is also currently project managing the construction of her own home which was lost to a fire in 2023. Jess is a current LCC parent.
meredith perry, board SECRETARY
Meredith Perry is a film editor, writer and mom of two. Both of her children attended the Lopez Children's Center before going on to kindergarten. Meredith is passionate about child development and the unique opportunity preschools have to provide a nurturing, kind and supportive environment for young children. Aware of the opportunity programs like LCC have to make a huge impact on a child's emotional regulation, kindness and success into adulthood, Meredith is focused as a board member on staff education, enrichment, and the success of LCC programming.
RICHARD LOTZ, board treasurer
Richard Lotz has lived on Lopez Island for over ten years, and his child recently graduated from the Lopez Children's Center. He has spent nearly 25 years planning and managing large network infrastructure projects, including long-range budgeting, cost planning, contract negotiation, and working with suppliers and partners to hit tight schedules. As treasurer, Richard applies the same careful budgeting and planning to LCC's finances, ensuring the center remains a thriving resource for island families.
